“SINGLE ESTATE: MESA COLORADA
The landscape of our rancho Mesa Colorada (Red Table) is flat and rests a hill, with rich red soil that is atop characteristic of the Highlands of Jalisco. It is surrounded by hillsides of volcanic, gray clay. The field is located southwest of the town of Jesús María, Jalisco, about 28km from our distillery in Arandas. The field size is 14ha (30 acres) at an average of 1,915 meters (6,225 feet) above sea level. At the moment of harvest the agaves were extremely mature with the red “pinto” showing on the piña, indicating over-ripeness. With An average weight above 33 pounds each, and high concentration of sugars in the plant, making for an exceptional tequila.
Nose: Green & vegetal, with lavender, cooked agave, spices, orange peel and mint. Fresh, Subtle notes of anise.”
Palate: You’ll find the classic Ocho notes of agave & white peperbs with the palate expanding into fresh herbs and dried fruits.
