This policy details our strict order processing workflows, standardized flat shipping rates, estimated transit intervals, mandatory legal age-verification enforcement, geographical delivery blocks, and standard protocols for damaged freight.
1. Mandatory Age Verification & Adult Signature (21+)
In absolute compliance with the Federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department, and individual destination state ABC frameworks, all shipments containing distilled spirits, wines, or liqueurs are subject to rigorous age-verification mandates:
- Adult Signature Required: Every delivery containing alcoholic beverages strictly requires the physical signature of an adult who is 21 years of age or older upon courier arrival.
- Government-Issued Photo ID: The carrier courier will demand a valid, unexpired government-issued photo identification card (such as a passport or driver’s license) to verify birthdates prior to package handover.
- No Unattended Deliveries: Under no circumstances will alcohol shipments be left unattended on porches, doorsteps, mailrooms, or unsecured reception desks.
- Complimentary Compliance Service: The specialized carrier fee required for Adult Signature (21+) verification is fully absorbed by Barrel Ora Liquors and is included within our standard flat shipping fee. It is never appended as an undisclosed surcharge at checkout.
- Delivery Refusal Parameters: Couriers retain the legal mandate to refuse delivery if the recipient fails to produce an acceptable photo ID or exhibits signs of intoxication.
- Unsuccessful Delivery Attempts: If an eligible adult (21+) is unavailable across three (3) consecutive delivery windows, the carrier will flag the shipment and return the freight to our central industrial operations facility.
Logistical Recourse: If a parcel is returned to our hub due to an unavailable eligible recipient, failure to produce valid identification, or arbitrary customer refusal of an accurate shipment, original shipping fees remain completely non-refundable, and any return carrier costs will be deducted from the customer’s balance. No restocking penalties are assessed.
2. Order Processing & Cut-Off Timeframes
Our logistical workflows operate on a unified corporate processing timeline adjusted to our local regional presence:
- Daily Order Cut-Off Time: 2:00 PM (MT), Monday through Friday.
- Processing Adjustments: Orders finalized prior to 2:00 PM MT commence processing within our warehouse queue the same business day. Orders submitted after 2:00 PM MT, or over weekend intervals and state holidays, automatically commence processing the following business day.
- Standard Processing Window: Most premium spirit orders clear validation and secure custom packaging within 1 to 3 business days (Monday–Friday). This processing interval is distinct from carrier transit durations.
Processing Holds: Orders may experience brief operational holds pending manual verification of billing discrepancies, electronic age gating validation, shipping address anomalies, or extreme multi-state weather watches that could compromise product integrity.
- Secure Tracking Transmission: Complete tracking codes and carrier assignments are generated and automatically emailed the exact hour your parcel departs our industrial fulfillment loading docks.

4. Jurisdiction & Shipping Restrictions
Barrel Ora Liquors facilitates direct-to-consumer spirit shipping exclusively to destinations where individual state frameworks explicitly legalize incoming direct shipments.
Eligible Shipping Jurisdictions
We route age-verified beverage orders to eligible coordinates within compliant states, including but not limited to:
- California, New York, Florida, Texas, Illinois, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, and additional states permitting legal direct-to-consumer incoming beverage parcels.
Prohibited Distressed States
We maintain a strict administrative block and do not ship to the following states due to statutory direct-shipping bans:
- Utah (UT), Alabama (AL), Mississippi (MS), Kentucky (KY), Arkansas (AR), Hawaii (HI), Alaska (AK), Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Structural Address Prohibitions
To preserve legal age-verification workflows, alcohol cargo can never be directed to:
- P.O. Boxes, PMB virtual mailboxes, APO/FPO military zones, or international addresses. Customers bear full financial responsibility for providing a complete commercial or residential physical street address.
5. Weather Defenses & Quality Control
Premium whiskey, tequila, and delicate wines are highly sensitive to thermal spikes. During periods of extreme heatwaves or deep winter freezes, Barrel Ora Liquors will initiate a proactive Weather Hold on your order. We retain cargo inside our climate-controlled industrial warehouse facility until safe transit conditions stabilize, and will notify you via email regarding any weather-induced timeline updates.
6. Damaged, Leaking, or Faulty Freight Protocols
Please inspect all custom beverage crates immediately upon carrier arrival. In the unfortunate event your order arrives compromised (broken glass, failing cork seals, leaks, or incorrect bottle variants), you must report the claim immediately:
- Reporting Window: Contact our compliance team within 48 hours of delivery to allow us to file active claims with the transit carrier.

- Mandatory Documentation Evidence: You must include your direct invoice number, a brief textual summary of the structural failure, clear digital photographs of the damaged product label, explicit images of internal packing materials, and a close-up image of the external shipping label attached to the box.
- Fulfillment Remedy: Upon formal verification of the freight damage, Barrel Ora Liquors LLC will issue a prepaid return shipping label at zero cost to the user. We will immediately dispatch a fresh replacement bottle or process a direct credit back to your original payment card.
7. Returns & Exchanges Overview
All physical inventory turnarounds are managed under our global Refund Policy. Core eligibility terms include:
- Return Window: 30 calendar days post-delivery date.
- Product State: Factory-sealed, unopened, un-tampered condition featuring all original brand boxes and neck tags intact.
- Return Channels: Executed securely via commercial mail networks. Restocking fees are maintained at $0.00.
