This calvados is part of the Experimental series and was matured for ten years, including a finishing period in a pair of casks that previously held Calle 23 Tequila. This process has resulted in a unique profile where earthy nuts and vegetal olive notes intertwine with the familiar stewed apple notes at its core.
In terms of tasting notes, the Calvados presents a complex array of flavors. Initially, you’ll find an oily, earthy truffles and walnut oil profile, complemented by green olive and singed herbs. This leads to a creamy vanilla and baked apples mid-palate. The finish is characterized by a lingering roasted nuttiness, powerful layers of orchard fruit, and a soft touch of oak spice.
