Distilled as single malt, the whiskey was first matured in a traditional sherry butt for nine years, then transferred into a first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry cask for nearly seven more years. The result is a 15-year-old whiskey bottled at cask strength and released exclusively for California, with only a few hundred bottles produced.
