Innovative Maturation Process:
The use of Sauternes casks, a rare choice for full-term whisky maturation, presents unique challenges and rewards. The 2024 edition features a blend of 22% fresh and 78% refill Sauternes casks. This strategic selection enriches the whisky with intense sweet wine flavors while maintaining the robust peaty profile Kilchoman is celebrated for. The Sauternes casks used were primed by a previous short-term finishing process, which maximized their sweet wine influence, ensuring a balanced integration with the peaty malt.

Nose: A rich bouquet of barbecued pineapple, candied ginger, and floral peat smoke, underpinned by a buttery sweetness.
