A’Glac Charrann 27 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, originating from the historic Imperial distillery, is a testament to the exquisite craft of traditional Scotch whisky-making. This exceptional 27-year-old single malt has been matured exclusively in American oak barrels, enhancing its complexity and richness. Bottled at cask strength and without chill-filtration, it delivers a pure, unadulterated experience, capturing the essence of its storied heritage with every sip.
Elegant Aging Process:
The American oak barrels provide a nurturing environment for this venerable Scotch, imparting delicate vanilla, custard, and subtle spicy undertones over nearly three decades. This prolonged interaction between the whisky and the oak wood results in a deeply nuanced flavor profile, characterized by an enveloping sweetness and rich texture.
Tasting Experience:
Nose: Opens with an incredibly sweet bouquet of ripe pear, honey, vanilla custard, and cherry jam, setting a decadent and inviting tone.
Palate: The palate further intensifies these flavors with additional fruity notes of red apple and blackcurrants, beautifully complemented by orange chocolate, hazelnut, and a refreshing hint of lemon drizzle. This combination creates a symphony of flavors that are both rich and elegantly balanced.
Finish: Concludes with a sweet and gently spiced finish, providing a warm and lingering aftertaste that continues to evolve, inviting further exploration.
