Hillrock Double Cask Rye Whiskey, Barrel Wiltsie Bridge 2016 Harvest, is a meticulously crafted American whiskey, produced in limited batches from estate-grown rye grain. This Field-to-Glass® spirit is an authentic product of the Hudson Valley Estate, with every stage of production—from grain cultivation to milling, distillation, aging, and bottling—occurring onsite. Initially aged in #3 char American oak barrels, the whiskey is further matured in #4 char new American oak barrels, enriching it with additional layers of caramel and vanilla that harmonize impeccably with the conventional rye spice. The whiskey displays a deep golden amber hue and greets the senses with a mix of vanilla, caramel, prune, apricot, and rye spice. The taste journey begins with an initial sweetness of caramel, which gradually gives way to mint, clove, and cinnamon spices before culminating in a lingering finish of caramel and butterscotch, characterized by its warmth and sweetness.
