Milagro harvests its agave at peak maturity from the mineral-rich red soils of the Jalisco Highlands. A portion of the agave piñas is slow roasted in traditional brick ovens for an average of 36 hours before being shredded and pressed to extract the juice.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for approximately 72 hours, allowing additional time for aroma and flavor development. Milagro then uses two different distillation systems: an initial distillation in a traditional pot still followed by a second distillation in a column still to refine the spirit while maintaining fresh agave character.
Unlike the brand’s aged expressions, Milagro Silver receives no barrel maturation and is bottled clear at 80 proof.
